A central aspect of the IMPRINT network’s work in maternal and infant immunisation is promoting vaccine uptake and empowering pregnant women with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about vaccination. In line with this mission, IMPRINT is proud to endorse a new Guide for Vaccinations During Pregnancy, developed by the British Society for Immunology. This comprehensive guide provides clear and evidence-based information on vaccines and immunisation during pregnancy.
Created as a resource for expectant parents, the guide explains how vaccines work and why they are important for both mother and baby, outlines the vaccination schedule recommended by the NHS during pregnancy, and addresses common questions and concerns. It also explains how the immune system changes during pregnancy and how vaccines can protect both mother and baby during this critical time and beyond. The guide is freely available to the public and will be continuously updated as new information becomes available.

IMPRINT recently hosted two webinars for its network members, providing expert-led, practical training in science communication and grant writing.
